Community & Business Partnerships – Social Housing Investment Program, Chartered Institute of Housing Canada, Housing Partnership Canada
To address some of the shared business gaps in social housing, you need the help of outside organizations with specialized expertise, products or services.
As a housing sector organization with province-wide reach, in-house expertise and knowledge of social housing’s business realities and a successful track record in managing group programs, HSC is well-positioned to play an important role in convening and brokering community and business partnerships.
HSC’s Community and Business partnerships also afford the benefit of economies of scale and enable Ontario’s housing sector to pursue opportunities that individual providers or service managers might not have the capacity to pursue otherwise. Our current partnerships include:
- Social Housing Investment Program: this program, administered by Encasa Financial in partnership with the British Columbia Non-Profit Housing Association, the Co-operative Housing Federation of Canada and the Co-operative Housing Federation of British Columbia, offers housing providers access to professional money management and information resources and tools to support strategic capital reserve investing [find out more about the Social Housing Investment Program]
- Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Canada: CIH Canada is a partnership between HSC and the UK-based Chartered Institute of Housing. The goal of CIH Canada is to strengthen our national housing sector by offering accreditation programs and membership services to housing professionals [find out more about CIH Canada]
- Housing Partnership Canada: Housing Partnership Canada (HPC) is a collaboration of Canada’s housing leaders, of which HSC is an affiliate member. HSC supports HPC by delivering governance and a variety of administrative, marketing and research services. [find out more about HPC]
