The Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board (CDSSAB) provides social services including housing, child care, employment and emergency services to the approximately 80,000 residents of Cochrane District. CDSSAB Housing Department is responsible for the administration and funding of Community and Affordable housing and homelessness programs in the Cochrane District, which spans across Northeastern Ontario from Matheson to Moosonee, including Timmins. CDSSAB is seeking a Director, Housing Services to lead and invigorate the department in providing housing services to the District.
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director, Housing Services will lead and direct the operations of the Housing Services department including: tenant administration; coordinated access; portfolio maintenance and risk management; housing provider oversight; all program contracts; program funding strategy development; quality assurance; and service system coordination. The Director, Housing Services also serves as the Deputy CEO of the Cochrane District Local Housing Corporation, leading the development of affordable housing throughout the District.
The ideal candidate will bring a business approach to the portfolio and demonstrate a passion for delivering effective and innovative housing services to Ontarians. Exceptional leadership, communication, risk-management and negotiation skills will be vital to success in this role. A post-secondary degree and a minimum of five years of management experience in a relevant field is required.
