Practicing sound and regular preventive maintenance is more important today than ever before

Preventive Maintenance

For Ontario’s social housing providers the gap between maintenance dollars and available dollars is growing. Practicising sound preventive maintenance is more important today than ever before.

Regardless of whether you’re a small property, work at a low-rise or a high-rise, preventive maintenance is critical to maintain the value of your assets.  Good preventive maintenance means solving problems before they become larger, more expensive problems.

Here are some resources that will be updated regularly to help you develop maintenance plans and best practices.

Training

FRAME: Fundamental Asset Management Excellence

It includes helpful information on things like your Planned Maintenance Plan, Procurement Procedures, Effective Unit Turnover and more. FRAME was created to help providers develop strong asset management practices in four key areas: capital planning and preventive maintenance within a framework of environmental sustainability and workplace safety. Download FRAME
